Covid-19 Policy

In light of the recent Coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak, I have put together a new policy designed to keep both you and I safe during these difficult times.
Recently, I successfully completed The Guild of Beauty Therapists COVID-19 Infection Prevention and Control programme. I am now competent and confident to operate Shugr.me safely.
As Government guidelines alter, I will reflect those changes within this policy.
Please can I ask you to read and digest the points listed below before visiting Shugr.me.
I would like to thank you all for your continued support, and for your patience and understanding with adhering to this new policy.
Many Thanks - Tracy

Booking Appointments

  1. If I feel ill or find I have any symptoms of COVlD-19, I will immediately self-isolate and submit to a test. Unfortunately this will mean that I will be forced to close Shugr.me for your safety until I have received my test results. I will of course contact anyone I have been in contact with within the previous 7 days.
This in turn will mean that I will have to cancel any appointments that fall within this period at short notice. I appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done entirely for your own safety and is in line with current government guidelines.
  2. IMPORTANT If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of COVlD-19 – please advise me as soon as possible. DO NOT COME TO SHUGR.ME FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT. I would also ask that you please submit to a test immediately as I am required to see confirmation of a negative test result prior to your next appointment.
  3. I have amended our booking terms and conditions and there will be no penalties for any appointment cancellations related to COVID-19.

Visiting Shugr.me

  1. For your safety and to maintain social distancing, I ask that you attend your appointments as close to the appointment time as possible.
Please do not arrive early for appointments as this may mean that you may come into contact with other clients who are just leaving.
  2. I have increased the frequency of cleaning in the treatment room including making sure that common surfaces such as door handles, treatment bed etc. are wiped clean using disinfectant products between each and every client.
  3. All tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety.
  4. Wherever possible we will utilise environmentally, friendly, single use items during a treatment that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you from cross infection.
  5. I will provide hand sanitiser for you to use to help keep hands clean.
  6. I will understand and not be at all offended if you wish to wear a facemask or wear disposable gloves when you visit Shugr.me.
  7. Please don’t be surprised or upset that I will be using personal protective equipment (PPE) during your visit. This will include facemask, faceguard and apron.
This is both for your safety and mine.
  8. I can confirm that the laundering of my towels and uniforms is a priority and I can assure you that all Shugr.me laundry is washed at 60 degrees C
  9. All disposable items are bagged and safely removed from the treatment area between each client.

Treatments

  1. I have carried out a risk assessment on all the treatments I offer and I am confident that I can continue to provide all of these safely.

During your treatment

  1. I understand the importance of hand hygiene and I will ensure that I sanitise my hands regularly in accordance with NHS recommendations before, during and after your treatment.
  2. I will try to make your treatment as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your treatments please let me know immediately and I will do what I can to answer any queries you may have.

After the treatment

  1. In order to avoid handling of cash, I would prefer if you could pay for your treatment by contactless card.
  2. All of these procedures listed in this new policy have been implemented to ensure both your safety and mine.
  3. I will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend them as necessary.
